Arugula leaves have a slightly spicy taste and are used in pasta, risotto, as a base for pesto, soups and stews, or salad, alone or as part of a mixture (mixed greens). They can be used as a filling in sandwiches or pizza and served with small pasta (e.g. with cherry tomatoes, parmesan cheese, pine nuts and olives).
